Job summary

HL Mando America Corporation in Opelika, AL, seeks a maintenance technician for upkeep and repair of plant equipment, performing preventive/predictive maintenance to minimize downtime. Role includes machine setup for production, wiring lines, and installing replacement parts while following safety practices.

Requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent mechanical experience, ability to read hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams and electrical circuits, and familiarity with PLCs (Omron preferred).

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree preferred or related mechanical experience.
• Ability to interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and mechanical blueprints.
• Ability to diagnose electrical circuits and troubleshoot ladder logic.
• Familiarity with PLCs, especially Omron, is a plus.
• Experience with electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on plant equipment and set-up machines for production.
• Connect pneumatic and hydraulic lines; install/maintain equipment including piping, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and replace parts as needed.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints; troubleshoot complex systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices and assist operators during try-outs.
