Job summary

Bryten is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor for our Surprise, AZ community. You will lead and support the maintenance team, manage service requests, preventive maintenance, make-ready processes, and coordinate with vendors to keep the property safe and attractive for residents.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in property maintenance with supervisory experience, HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, and HVAC or related trade certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of building, facilities, apartment, or property maintenance experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• HVAC certification and/or electrical/plumbing trades certifications required.
• Ability to read diagrams, manuals, work orders, and safety docs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for maintenance issues.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train, and support maintenance team with a focus on safety and customer service.
• Coordinate and prioritize service requests, preventive maintenance, and repairs for timely completion.
• Oversee make-ready operations and occupancy readiness of vacant homes.
• Perform and supervise HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry repairs.
• Conduct inspections of homes, common areas, and grounds for quality standards.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for operations and capital projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory, and work orders.
• Support grounds and exterior area upkeep; participate in on-call emergency responses.
