Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Porter to assist in carrying out the maintenance processes of a property, including corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic tasks. The Porter works under the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to support make-ready processes and uphold property standards.

The role involves daily onsite attendance, upkeep of grounds and common areas, and timely responses to resident requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Community Maintenance: maintain grounds, buildings, breezeways and common areas.
• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Clean, trash removal, and general maintenance of community areas.
• Respond to resident/management requests and work orders promptly.
• Ensure repairs and replacements are completed in a timely manner.
• Inspect grounds and buildings to identify hazards and safety risks.
• Assist in maintaining a preventative maintenance program.
• Follow Asset Living safety policies and maintain a clean, stocked shop.
• Participate in on-call emergencies and unit inspections as requested.
