Job summary

Akima Intra-Data (AID) is seeking a Maintenance Carpenter to perform skilled carpentry across a range of construction projects at customer sites. The role focuses on safe, high-quality workmanship and the ability to diagnose and repair diverse structures and facilities.

Responsibilities include building and repairing floors, walls, doors, ceilings and roofing components, using a variety of materials and tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry or equivalent preferred.
• Valid US Driver’s License required.
• Minimum of five years’ documented carpentry experience (commercial and residential).
• Strong understanding of safety directives and policies for carpentry work.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks safely and efficiently to maintain a safe work environment.
• Handle new construction, remodeling, renovation and demolition tasks.
• Construct, repair, restore and install structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairs, furniture, cabinets, shelves, and roofs.
• Build forms and frames using lumber, plywood, sheetrock, studs and cement board.
• Fabricate items from designs and blueprints; finish sheetrock, tile and flooring as required.
• Repair doors, roofs, ceilings, stairs, floors and windows; maintain shop and job site cleanliness.
• Perform additional duties as required.
