Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. is seeking a full-time Loss Prevention Security Officer to protect our Canton Corporate Office. You will patrol indoor and outdoor areas, monitor cameras, and respond to alarms to prevent theft and injury.

You will report incidents to the LP/Safety Supervisor, check packages, and escort employees when necessary. The position requires alertness, physical stamina, and adherence to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
• Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• patrol building, parking lots, and grounds to prevent loss or injury.
• Report unusual or suspicious conditions to LP/Safety Supervisor or authorities.
• Check incoming/outgoing packages and employee lunch boxes as directed.
• Guard employee entrances during shift changes and escort employees to vehicles when needed.
• Open/lock doors, windows, and gates per operating schedule.
• Monitor the Security Camera system and write daily reports of activities and irregularities.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
