Job summary

Uber Freight is seeking an Associate Manager, Operations, to oversee a client group and support daily operations from an on-site role in Charlotte, NC. The candidate will report to customers, maintain standard processes, and ensure accurate, efficient transportation solutions while traveling as needed.

The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, reporting, and cost containment through carrier negotiations and performance analysis. Travel is required for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate issues; propose and implement continuous improvement solutions.
• Resolve conflicts and solve problems to protect service levels and profitability.
• Determine eligibility for additional non-committed freight and support awards.
• Develop and distribute customer and internal performance reports.
• Negotiate and contract carrier rate agreements; source new carriers for competitiveness.
• Provide rate quotes.
• Maintain TMS data and updates (rates, SRG, OCA, FAM, SPT).
• Monitor team performance and ensure all key duties are performed.
• Review P&L matters and contribute to cost savings for customers and Uber Freight.
