Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience deploying and maintaining Linux/UNIX server environments.
• Experience with RHEL, Rocky Linux, Oracle Linux, and/or Ubuntu.
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite Server and/or Spacewalk for patching and configuration management.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with server patch management and lifecycle management.
• Experience with performance analysis, log analysis, and incident analysis.
• Ability to analyze requirements and perform system integration and testing.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or willingness to obtain poly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, integrate, configure, and optimize Linux server solutions across physical and virtual environments.
• Design, implement, and verify automation for provisioning, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Develop Linux hardening solutions aligned with cybersecurity requirements.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, admin, and customer teams to translate requirements into engineered solutions.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve resiliency and performance.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation and procedures.
