Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Linux Server Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and optimize Linux server infrastructure across physical and virtual environments at the Intelligence Community Campus in Bethesda, MD. Qualifications

• Experience engineering, deploying, integrating, and maintaining Linux/ UNIX server environments.
• Experience with Linux server OS including RHEL, Rocky, Oracle, and Ubuntu.
• Experience with configuration management and IaC/automation (Ansible/Salt/Puppet/Chef).
• Experience with scripting in shell or Python.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, design, integrate, and optimize Linux server solutions across physical and virtual environments.
• Perform systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, interface definition, integration, testing, and verification.
• Develop automation for provisioning, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Design and implement Linux system-hardening aligned with cybersecurity controls.
• Coordinate with customers and teams to implement infrastructure improvements.
• Provide after-hours support for mission-critical infrastructure issues.
