Job summary

RS EDEN is hiring a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC/SUD) in Minneapolis to provide direct therapy, counseling, and assessment within a modified Therapeutic Community. You will handle caseloads, complete billing and documentation, and ensure treatment plans meet ASAM criteria and RS EDEN policies.

This full-time, 100% on-site position emphasizes crisis management, collaboration, and client-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota LADC or ADC-T license.
• Minimum Associate degree in Substance Use Disorder Counseling or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience or equivalent training in Rule 25 and/or Comprehensive Assessments.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds with multiple barriers to success.
• Current Mantoux test (annual requirement).
• One year of off-correctional supervision.
• No substance misuse while employed.
• 6-month gap between any treatment services and employment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize ASAM criteria to assess client strengths and level of care.
• Make recommendations and referrals for treatment plan needs.
• Collaborate with client and clinical team to develop and maintain treatment plans.
• Prepare clinical documentation in accordance with 245G statutes and RS EDEN policy.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy and counseling services.
• Maintain contacts and attend meetings with collaborating agencies.
• Support client development of daily living and socialization skills.
• Supervise client recreational and community activities when applicable.
• Communicate client needs, behaviors, and care plans clearly to staff.
• Participate in speaking engagements or workshop presentations.
• Prepare case reviews for multidisciplinary meetings for progress reviews.
