Qualifications

• Accredited Senior High School Diploma or USA equivalency with 48 college credit hours or an associate degree.
• Paraprofessional certificate required from State Board of Certification.
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to work with students, staff, parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in intensified learning experiences and relieve the teacher of non-instructional duties.
• Assist in managing student arrival and departure times.
• Provide supportive tasks for a certified teacher that is primarily non-instructional in nature.
• Assist teachers and students to achieve program objectives.
• Maintain discipline in the absence of the teacher.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow up learning activities.
• Assist in filing, organizing materials for distribution and recording information.
• Maintain student records, attendance and files.
• Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.
