Job summary

Gorman & Company seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site activities for Midtown Commons, a 200-unit multifamily project in Milwaukee, with two 100-unit phases and mid-2028 completion.

You will coordinate subcontractors, manage day-to-day field operations, review drawings and submittals, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence. This role requires reading construction drawings, managing logs, and communicating progress to owners and project partners.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of on-site construction supervision experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site construction operations through project completion, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and company standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, inspections, and sequencing to meet milestones across both phases.
• Partner with the Project Manager and General Field Superintendent to manage schedules and resolve field challenges.
• Serve as primary on-site contact for subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and ownership representatives.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and installation details for accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, organized job site, conduct Toolbox Talks, and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Maintain daily logs, project docs, timecards, as-builts, and photos; oversee punch-list and turnover.
