Gorman & Company is seeking an Assistant Construction Superintendent to support field operations at Midtown Commons in Milwaukee, WI. You will assist the Field Superintendent and Project Manager to maintain the schedule and uphold safety standards on a 200-unit multifamily project with two 100-unit phases through mid-2028.

The role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, reviewing specs, and ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in construction supervision or field operations.
• High school diploma; degree in construction management/engineering preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Field Superintendent with daily jobsite operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor progress, sequencing, and safety to meet project milestones.
• Review material specs and purchase orders; coordinate deliveries.
• Ensure work follows plans and company standards; address RFIs.
• Maintain communication with subcontractors and project team.
• Support project documentation and organize field operations.
