Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience in a data center/critical facility, including UPS Systems, emergency generators, and switch-gear.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years related work experience, including supervisory experience.
• Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent.
• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s (or within 90 days of employment).
• Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to read, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations and codes.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before small groups of tenants or fellow employees.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance staff on shift and monitor performance.
• Perform and/or direct the performance of maintenance service requests with minimal disruption.
• Direct the preventive maintenance program and scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Oversee contracted maintenance work and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain and monitor all building systems including electrical, HVAC, and fire/life safety.
