Alpha School is seeking a Youth Development Coach to support K-3 students with app-based core literacy learning on-site across campuses in the United States. You will diagnose gaps, run targeted sessions, and maintain daily learning goals that parents see in weekly data.

The role emphasizes close student mentoring, retention, and hands-on daily routines, with relocation support and a full-time W2 position offering benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years direct work with children ages 4-9 in relevant settings.
• At least 2 years teaching reading in K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Bachelor's degree; teaching certificate not required.
• Completed structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Willing to work on-site at listed campuses with relocation support.

Responsibilities

• Get K-3 students to daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Coach 2–4 students in short literacy sessions using predesigned sequences.
• Lead morning launch and campus routines to keep six-year-olds engaged.
• Drive weekly app goals using school currency and gamification.
• Stay with students through lunch and closing, planning for each child.
