Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking multiple full-time Job Coaches to join the Employment Services Program (EBS) in the Bronx and Staten Island. The coaches will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, primarily on-site, with gradual fading as proficiency increases.

A 40-hour week is required, with travel to job sites as needed. Salary ranges from $20–$23 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including free medical insurance and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience a plus.
• Flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual.
• Teaching or mentoring experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and client-facing experience.
• Strong case note writing and documentation skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach, assist, and support new workers in their jobs using demonstrations of tasks, modeling, counseling, observation and discussion.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities, ensuring their success in their roles.
• Assist new workers with travel from home to job sites when needed.
• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor client progress and outcomes.
• Manage a caseload of about 10-15 clients, primarily in the field (90% of time spent at individuals' job sites).
