Job summary

AHRC New York City is hiring Full-Time Job Coaches to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in achieving meaningful employment. The job coach spends the majority of time on the job site and gradually fades as the individual becomes proficient.

Compensation ranges from $18 to $21 per hour, depending on education level, with a comprehensive benefits package. Schedule is 40 hours weekly, with flexibility, and positions are based in Queens; each worker is

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to scheduling needs (early mornings, evenings, weekends).
• DSP experience a plus; understanding of Person-Centered Planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of about 10–15 clients, primarily in the field (90% of time at job sites).
• Teach, assist, and support new workers using demonstration, modeling, counseling, observation, and discussion.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities, ensuring their success.
• Assist new workers with travel from home to job sites when needed.
• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor client progress and outcomes.
