Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking multiple Full-Time Job Coaches to join our Employment Services Program in the Bronx and Staten Island. The job coach will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to obtain meaningful employment, spending most time with clients on the job site and gradually fading as they become proficient.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience a plus.
• Flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to scheduling needs.
• Teaching or mentoring experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and client-facing experience.
• Strong case note writing and documentation skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of about 10-15 clients, primarily in the field (90% on-site).
• Teach, assist, and support new workers using demonstrations and modeling.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities.
• Assist new workers with travel from home to job sites when needed.
• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor progress and outcomes.
