Job summary

Empath Health is seeking an IT Support Specialist for an on-site role in Ocala, FL. You will provide hands-on IT support, install and configure end-user devices, and help maintain inventory while collaborating with the IT team on projects.

The ideal candidate has strong Windows/Microsoft Office knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a valid Florida driver’s license for on-site support. This mission-driven healthcare organization values service and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s preferred) in a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft Office, and end user hardware (Dell, HP, mobile devices).
• Experience providing hands‑on technical support, including remote troubleshooting and help desk support.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with reliable transportation to support on‑site needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on technical support for end users, resolving hardware, software, and system issues both remotely and on‑site.
• Install, configure, and deploy end user equipment, ensuring systems are set up efficiently and correctly from day one.
• Maintain and track IT equipment inventory, supporting lifecycle management and availability of resources.
• Document issues, resolutions, and trends to improve response times and prevent recurring problems.
• Partner with IT team members to support projects, system upgrades, and ongoing infrastructure initiatives.
• Deliver responsive, service‑oriented support while escalating more complex issues when appropriate.
