Job summary

Cognizant is hiring an On-Site IT Support professional in Mesa, AZ to troubleshoot and manage hardware and software assets. You will handle OS and application installations, asset tracking, and service requests using ServiceNow.

This role requires hands-on hardware support and strong end-user communication. The role is strictly on-site in Mesa, with duties focused on asset management, incident resolution, and coordination with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in desktop/end-user IT support or a similar hands‑on technical support role
• Hands‑on troubleshooting experience with laptops, Chromebooks, and/or Mac hardware
• Experience on Windows 11 in end‑user issue handling
• Chrome OS knowledge
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including Wi‑Fi and LAN connectivity troubleshooting
• Software installation experience
• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for logging and closing service requests
• Experience with IT asset management / inventory tracking processes
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with end users
• Ability to lift/move IT equipment (laptops, monitors, peripherals) as needed for asset allocation and recovery

Cognizant is a Large IT Consulting Firm that leverages modern technologies to improve a variety of business operations. As our team continues to grow, we are currently looking to hire On-Site IT Support as we recently launched 2 Contact Centers in Mesa, AZ and Plano. This role is 100% On Site, and all candidates must reside in the United States.

Role Responsibilities

• Attend to and troubleshoot issues related to assets – hardware and software.
• Install and manage laptops, including operating system and hardware support.
• Perform OS and application installation and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with the concerned team on user issues until resolution.
• Maintain and update the asset inventory for project assets.
• Allocate and recover assets – Chromebook, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.
• Close Service Requests on ServiceNow.
• Coordinate with vendors for resolution of hardware issues.
• Coordinate with support teams for troubleshooting issues and during major incidents.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $52,000 - $60,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
