Job summary

Prudent Technology LLC is seeking a Senior IT Technician to serve as the on-site Program Manager for the USDA Enterprise Depot contract in Beltsville, MD. The role combines hands-on leadership with accountability for production planning, staffing, safety, and quality across imaging, refurbishment, and returns operations.

The ideal candidate will lead daily scheduling, coordinate training, ensure 95% on-time completion, and serve as the primary liaison with the COR and Contracting Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years IT operations, asset management, or depot services, including 2+ years supervising a technical team.
• Experience managing daily production schedules and meeting service levels.
• Experience as a customer-facing point of contact on a government contract or similar program.
• Knowledge of device imaging, hardware triage, and IT asset lifecycle management.
• Experience with IT service management and asset management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on site in Beltsville, MD.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site point of contact for the Contracting Officer and COR.
• Own the daily production board across imaging, returns, refurbishment, receiving, picking, shipping, and labeling.
• Manage staffing, attendance, and workload balancing to maintain coverage.
• Monitor performance against contract standards and quality levels, including inventory accuracy.
• Lead quality checks, production reviews, and corrective actions.
• Ensure safety standards and incident reporting per OSHA requirements.
• Coordinate training and 95% on-time completion.
• Maintain cross-training and backup coverage matrices.
• Oversee phase-in, onboarding, and credentialing activities.
• Publish weekly duty rosters and staffing reports to government and leadership.
• Request surge support and track progress.
• Escalate unresolved issues for closure with owners and deadlines.
• Perform production duties during peak periods.
• Oversee separations and offboarding, including knowledge transfer and asset return.
