Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP in Anacortes, WA (and Kenai, AK) seeks an IT Refining On-Site Manager to lead local IT/OT operations, ensure safe, reliable, and secure services, and drive digital initiatives across two refineries.

You will manage staff, develop talent, oversee cybersecurity, and partner with stakeholders to deliver projects, maintain critical systems (SCADA, DCS, PLCs), and support strategic technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field.
10+ years of diversified IT experience.
3+ years of leadership experience.
OT infrastructure experience preferred.
Experience with Portfolio and Product management in SAFe environment.

Responsibilities

Lead daily IT/OT operations with a focus on innovation and improvement.
Recruit, develop, retain, and manage staff performance.
Plan and deliver low- to mid-complexity IT projects on time and within budget.
Ensure availability, reliability, and security of systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology with business goals.
Oversee OT operations (SCADA, DCS, PLCs) lifecycle and cybersecurity.
Support IT product teams in digital transformation initiatives at the site (IoT, edge, digital twin).
Lead mobility and connectivity strategy for field devices and improve device reliability.
Oversee vendor/contractor performance and external resources.
