Job summary

The Dixon Group in Chestertown, MD is seeking an on-site Help Desk Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for employees needing technical assistance and to keep our computing environment running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, 2–4 years in IT Help Desk, strong knowledge of Windows, Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and excellent communication and customer service skills. This role is on-site at 1 Dixon Square.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree is a bonus.
• 2–4 years IT Help Desk or Technical Support experience preferred (Level 2 experience beneficial).
• Strong working knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, network troubleshooting, and imaging tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain tech concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for all technical support needs across workstation software, OS, networks, printers, and Internet access.
• Provide top-tier Level 1 and Level 2 support and troubleshooting for desktop/laptop hardware and software.
• Create detailed incident tickets and route to appropriate support groups for swift processing.
• Image and deploy new computer systems; configure and install bundled software packages.
• Assist with hardware/software installations, upgrades, moves, changes, and password resets.
