Job summary

Ropes & Gray LLP is seeking an IT Site Support & AV Specialist for our Los Angeles office. You will deliver high-touch IT desktop support and hands-on audiovisual support for meetings, events, and daily operations, ensuring a seamless technology experience for staff and leadership.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in IT/AV support and strong knowledge of AV systems, conferencing, and enterprise IT environments. On-site presence is essential, with occasional after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent practical experience in information technology, audiovisual technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT desktop support, AV support, or hybrid technology support.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and enterprise IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems including displays, projectors, audio systems, and control platforms.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex IT and AV issues efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as IT point of contact for the L.A. office, delivering high-touch, professional support to staff at all levels.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues, escalating as needed for rapid resolution.
• Provide customer-focused service with clear communication, even under pressure.
• Onboard new employees and ensure seamless IT experience from day one, including setup and access.
• Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems, peripherals, and related technology.
