Job summary

Avint is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) - SME to support DoD cloud-based systems at Hanscom AFB, MA. The role requires active Top-Secret clearance and 100% on-site work.

You will lead RMF implementation across authorization, accreditation, and day-to-day cyber operations, coordinating with leadership and ensuring policy compliance. The candidate will bring deep DoD cybersecurity experience, CM/ RMF proficiency, and the ability to craft SOPs, deliver senior-level

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a Related Field.
• 15 years of experience, of which 5 must be in the DoD.
• In depth knowledge of DoD cyber security policies and regulations.
• Experience in providing security recommendations to senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of prior experience, additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Candidate must have valid CISSP, Clearance, eMASS experience, DoD/ RMF experience, on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the system/application authorization and accreditation (A&A) effort per RMF policies.
• Recommending policies to ensure reliability and access control for information systems.
• Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments to identify protection needs.
• Promoting security awareness among management and ensuring sound security principles.
• Conducting systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
• Recommending security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
• Implementing programs to ensure users adhere to security policies.
• Participating in network and systems design to embed security controls.
• Gathering and preserving evidence for cybercrime prosecutions.
• Assessing security events and implementing corrective actions.
• Applying information security policies in IT service delivery.
• Perform ISSE duties per AFI 33-200/210/285 for assigned systems.
• Perform ISSO duties per DoDI 8510.01 for assigned systems.
• Perform ISSM duties per DoDI 8510.01 for assigned systems.
