Job summary

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO) is seeking an Inventory Logistics Specialist to provide on-site support at Dahlgren, VA. You will manage inventory movement, shipping, receiving, and material controls while ensuring compliance with government requirements.

Role requires an Interim Secret clearance (prefer active DoD Secret), 3+ years in inventory management, and proficiency with N-ERP and MS Office. On-site work with full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Requires Interim Secret clearance (prefer active DoD Secret)
• Three+ years of inventory management experience
• Experience with inventory management, procurement, or purchasing
• Experience using N-ERP for inventory control
• Able to work independently across multiple databases/systems
• Detail-oriented with strong customer focus
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with ERP systems for inventory and material tracking

Responsibilities

• Evaluate logistics requirements and oversee supply movement operations
• Resolve discrepancies and operational challenges
• Support planning, process development, and compliance monitoring
• Manage daily logistics program operations (shipping, receiving, material movement)
• Develop plans for inventory cycles, distribution workflows and controls
• Identify risks and take corrective actions to maintain compliance
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, vendors and carriers
• Provide guidance on material movement planning and compliance
• Oversee receipt, inspection, and tracking of materials and equipment
• Validate documentation and resolve discrepancies with procurement and vendors
• Ensure data accuracy in N-ERP and related systems for audits
• Plan physical inventories, spot checks and reconciliations
• Develop reports on supply chain trends and risks
• Perform data analysis to identify bottlenecks and delays
• Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly performance and compliance reports
