Job summary

The University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support the receiving, storage, processing, and distribution of maintenance and construction materials.

You will work in a safety-minded, collaborative team on Grounds, prioritizing accurate data entry, clear communication, and adherence to instructions. Shift is Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm; on-site work with potential coverage at other locations as needed, including forklift operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
• 3 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; forklift license within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Send, receive, pick-up, deliver, load, unload, inspect quality, and ensure correct quantities of inventory items.
• Match deliveries to purchase orders and store items within facilities.
• Communicate effectively with customers.
• Utilize electronic tracking systems for operations and communications with customers.
• Prioritize a safe work environment and facility cleanliness.
• Facilitate mail operations as needed.
• Provide operational coverage at other logistics locations as needed.
• May use forklifts, motorized pallet trucks, dollies, or other equipment.
