Job summary

Markey's, a leading multi-state provider of creative audio-visual services, seeks a Full-Time Inventory Control Technician based at the JW Marriott Austin. You will assist the Director of Operations and sales team with inventory and equipment ordering, organize storage on-property, and maintain rental inventory accuracy.

The role is hourly, non-exempt, with overtime potential and varying shifts including some weekends.

Qualifications

• R2 computer system knowledge preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication with management and peers.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with a wide range of event technology equipment.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks timely.
• Ability to delegate as needed and ensure task completion.
• Detail oriented team player committed to common goals.
• Capable of handling stressful situations professionally.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Desire to continually improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and track JW Marriott Austin inventory for accuracy.
• Prepare and roll out new inventory; order cases for new equipment.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, repair, and retirement processes.
• Ensure shipping/receiving paperwork for inventory is complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure delivery and pickup times.
• Oversee and maintain on-site equipment storage areas.
• Maintain on-site inventory of consumables and event supplies.
• Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance.
• Aid order writers to ensure equipment is reserved and tracked.
• Fulfill other duties to support Markey’s events.
