Job summary

Markey's is seeking an Inventory Control Technician based at the JW Marriott Austin. This full-time, hourly role supports inventory and equipment ordering, storage organization on property, and maintaining rental inventory (R2).

You will assist the Director of Operations and JWA Sales team, ensure accurate shipping/receiving paperwork, coordinate with drivers, and maintain on-site storage and consumables while preparing new inventory and upkeep of equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing inventory for events or venues.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Experience with shipping/receiving paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and track JW Marriott Austin inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and roll out new inventory and order cases for new equipment.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, repair processes, and retirement.
• Ensure paperwork for shipping/receiving is complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with drivers to maintain delivery/pickup times.
• Oversee on-site equipment storage areas.
• Maintain on-site inventory of consumables and event supplies.
• Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance.
• Aid order writers to ensure equipment is reserved and tracked.
• Fulfill other duties to support Markey’s events.
