Job summary

LifeSTEPS is seeking an Intensive Case Manager to support residents in Oakland and Newark, CA. The ICM will assess needs, coordinate services, and help individuals move toward housing stability and employment readiness through on-site support and referrals.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, two years of social services experience, and a CA driver’s license. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field.
• Two years of experience in a similar environment providing social services.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree.
• Valid California Driving License and reliable, insured transportation required

Responsibilities

• Promote and live out LifeSTEPS values with integrity and empowerment.
• Assess participants to identify needs across housing, finances, employment and health.
• Coordinate and tailor services to meet identified needs.
• Be on-site at assigned properties as scheduled and spend contracted hours.
• Advise participants on resume writing, job search, and interviewing techniques.
• Compile records, prepare reports, and perform data entry in databases.
