Job summary

LifeSTEPS is seeking an Intensive Case Manager to support residents in Oakland and Newark, CA. The role involves assessing needs, coordinating services, and advocating for access to housing and community resources. Schedule includes 8 hours weekly at Oakland and 32 hours weekly at Newark, with a pay rate of $28.40 per hour and full-time status.

Driving between sites is required. You'll work under a Project Manager, document case plans, and help clients become job-ready with resume and interview

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field.
• Two years of experience in a similar social services environment.
• Valid California Driving License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assess participants to identify needs such as personal and family adjustments, finances, employment, food, housing, and physical and mental impairments to determine nature and degree of assistance.
• Promote, coordinate and tailor services to meet identified needs.
• Assist participants individually, with family, or in other settings regarding plans for meeting needs; aid participant to mobilize inner resources to improve social and economic functioning.
• Advocate and refer participants to community resources, human services and other organizations as needed.
• Instruct applicants in resume writing, job search, and interviewing techniques.
• Compile records and prepare reports.
• Complete administrative assignments including timely data entry in multiple databases.

Education
