Job summary

TDEC in Charleston, WV seeks an Information Systems Training Specialist for an on-site, full-time temporary role (6–12 months). The position focuses on coordinating contractor staff, facilitating ASP information flows, and supporting district office IT operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mastery of computers and the ASP application.
• Specialized knowledge of composition and presentation techniques.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical information to the intended audience.
• Ability to respond intelligently and articulately to various requests from client liaisons.
• Ability to supervise the labor categories assigned to that task or other supervisory equivalent experience.
• Must be a self-starter with a clear understanding of the service role of the position and the need for accuracy, efficiency and effective interaction and cooperation with the District Director and all staff, Contractor and DCMWC alike, and DCMWC customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage Contractor staff in a District Office; serve as on-site Contractor representative for payroll and attendance records.
• Represent the Contractor and DCMWC to providers, claimants, and the public on ASP information and billing issues; coordinate information exchange with National Office and District Office staff.
• Act as intermediary between District Office staff and provider community on ASP information and provider activities; maintain online directory of ASP information for active providers.
• Liaise with Government Service Managers; provide on-site support to resolve routine PC and network hardware, software, and configuration problems; submit performance reports.
• Assist with installation of new software packages (COTS or DOL/Contractor-developed).
• Provide training to DOL staff on PC and networked applications, ASP GUI, etc.
• Train DCMWC staff in ASP applications and screens.
• Confirm receipt of Contractor supplies and MIS reports; ensure adequate on-site supplies for ASP hardware.
