Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) in New York seeks a Full-Time, Mid-Level FSR ISSO to be embedded on-site with U.S. Government customers, ensuring secure, compliant operation of a production-grade data and application platform in mission-critical environments.

You will serve as the primary on-site authority for security and compliance, collaborating with engineers, operators, and customer security teams, supporting RMF/DIACAP, audits, and continuous compliance across multi-cloud and

Qualifications

• Background in IT security, systems administration, or software engineering.
• Experience accrediting IT systems against U.S. Government standards (NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, DISA STIGs).
• Hands-on experience with eMASS or Xacta accreditation.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to validate security configurations.
• Familiarity with config management and automation tools (Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Ansible).
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
• Ability to use vulnerability scanners (Nessus, OpenSCAP).
• Experience with AWS and on-premises environments.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary on-site contact for security and compliance with government customers.
• Support accreditation activities using RMF/DIACAP.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement security controls and policies.
• Analyze deployments for compliance with security requirements.
• Build and maintain security documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, narratives).
• Assemble accreditation artifacts into a structured repository.
• Support audits and ongoing compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain security and trust through on-site coordination with teams.
• Operate in multi-cloud and on-prem environments across classifications.
