Job summary

South Oxford Management is seeking an on-site HVAC Technician in Connecticut to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across our residential properties. You will ensure safety, energy efficiency, and compliance with codes while delivering dependable service to residents.

The role requires a Connecticut D-2 license, EPA 608 certification, and hands-on experience with heat pumps, SPVUs, mini-splits, boilers, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Connecticut D-2 license from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, with R-410A certification.
• Own HVAC service tools including gauges, a vacuum pump, a recovery machine, and a refrigerant scale.
• Ideally 2+ years of experience in building facilities and maintenance.
• Strong HVAC knowledge, with solid working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and safety-conscious approach.
• Professional communication skills and ability to manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems and components.
• Diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and complete inspections.
• Complete work orders across the community with a customer-first attitude.
• Be part of on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and safety.
• Support make-ready process to ensure market-ready vacancies.
• Use maintenance software to log and close out tasks.
