Job summary

Pita Way is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support employees and leadership across our growing multi-location restaurant organization. This on-site role at our Waterford, Michigan headquarters reports to the HR Director and focuses on employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, compliance, and HRIS documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent HR experience also considered.
• 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience handling employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
• Experience supporting managers with disciplinary and performance issues.
• Experience with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee documentation.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and employee matters.
• Strong interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
• On-site work capability at Waterford, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR resource for restaurant managers, field leaders, and employees regarding day-to-day HR questions and concerns.
• Respond to employee complaints, workplace concerns, conflicts, policy questions, and other HR matters.
• Conduct or assist with workplace investigations and prepare summaries.
• Partner with the HR Director on sensitive or high-risk employee relations matters.
• Coach managers on documentation and employee relations practices.
• Support payroll-related processes and ensure accurate HRIS data.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with wage-and-hour requirements.
• Assist with onboarding and new-hire documentation across locations.
