Job summary

Pita Way, headquartered in Waterford, Michigan, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a fast-growing, multi-location restaurant group. This on-site role partners with the HR Director to manage employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and compliance across locations.

The ideal candidate will handle high-volume HR matters with strong judgment, communication, and confidentiality, while helping scale HR operations for growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HR experience in a Generalist or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• Experience handling employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR resource for managers, field leaders, and employees on day-to-day questions.
• Assist with recruiting, postings, interviewing, and onboarding across locations.
• Oversee onboarding documents and I-9 employment eligibility processes.
• Support payroll coordination, timekeeping, and employee data updates.
• Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data.
