Job summary

Pita Way in Waterford, Michigan is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support employees and leadership across our fast-growing restaurant group. This on-site role reports to the HR Director at our headquarters.

You will handle employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll support, HR compliance, and HRIS tasks, while coaching managers and ensuring consistent HR practices as we expand to 55 restaurants and two additional concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent HR experience.
• Minimum 3 years HR Generalist experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience handling employee relations and investigations.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and documentation.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR resource for managers and employees.
• Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding across locations.
• Oversee payroll processes and timekeeping accuracy.
• Help ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Coach leaders on documentation, investigations, and performance issues.
• Maintain HRIS data and employee records.
• Support HR coaching for multi-unit restaurant operations.
