Job summary

Lutheran Child and Family Services (LCFS) in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Housing Coordinator to oversee a 30-unit Permanent Supportive Housing program. The role blends operations leadership with regulatory compliance and resident support to promote long-term housing stability.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, HIP compliance, community partnerships, and HMIS documentation. Requires degrees in social work and strong leadership, with on-site work and occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work or a related field with 2+ years of direct service delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with 4+ years of direct service delivery.
• Min 2 years in supportive housing, homeless services, or case management.
• Experience with program coordination and compliance.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of HUD, CoC and Housing First principles.
• Familiarity with HMIS or similar systems (or willingness to learn).
• Preferred bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housing operations and supervise program staff.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, CoC, and Housing First standards.
• Coordinate resident services, engagement and crisis response.
• Maintain HMIS/ETO documentation, reporting and audit readiness.
• Build partnerships with property management and service providers.
• Monitor program performance, budgets and opportunities for improvement.
