Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is a dynamic social service organization serving children, youth and families, people with disabilities, older adults, and military veterans. As the Program Manager for Housing, you will oversee the daily operation and coordination of supportive housing programs within the Housing and Family Services Department.

This role emphasizes leadership of staff, program development, budget oversight, and ensuring compassionate, trauma-informed care for families

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human service or equivalent plus 4 years' experience in a human services field.
• Valid driver's license and current insurance.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention; chemical dependency treatment, physical or sexual abuse, family violence.
• Knowledge and experience about motivational interviewing, harm reduction, housing first model and trauma informed care.
• Experience working with low-income families and homelessness.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competency.
• Strong organizational skills and effective communication within teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management to families to address barriers leading to homelessness and support community living.
• Provide leadership within the department including program development and direct service delivery.
• Monitor revenue and expense reports and contribute to annual budgets.
• Supervise case managers and interns in the Housing Department.
