Job summary

Catholic Community Services (CCS) is hiring a Program Supervisor in Seattle to oversee a shelter-based program focused on engaging and supporting residents toward permanent housing. The role requires on-site leadership, supervision of Engagement Specialists, and collaboration with case managers and medical professionals to meet client needs.

The position includes direct client services, crisis intervention, intake and advocacy, and front-desk duties.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with people experiencing homelessness.
• Experience or knowledge of mental illness and addictions.
• Knowledge and experience with crisis intervention.
• Commitment to the harm reduction program model.
• Ability to work within the mission and goals of Catholic Housing Services/Catholic Community Services.
• Ability to commit to developing and safekeeping a workplace that values cultural diversity.
• Must have a reliable phone or voice mail service at all times to be reached.
• Ability to contribute to a work environment that fosters respect, teamwork, and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Direct service to people who are homeless.
• Provide crisis intervention and advocacy to participants.
• Coordinate with other social service agency workers to provide for clients’ needs.
• Model interpersonal and living skills for clients.
• Maintain a safe enhanced shelter environment and assist with janitorial tasks as needed.
• Assist maintenance staff on turning units and support shift teamwork.
• Work with external professionals when appropriate.
• Administrative duties include attending meetings and maintaining accurate records.
