Job summary

InTown Suites in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to perform daily upkeep of the property, monitor and repair hotel facilities, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment. On-site living is required during employment and on-call shifts may be necessary.

Essential duties include cleaning grounds, maintaining building exteriors, repairing rooms, and handling preventive maintenance for guest rooms on a schedule.

Qualifications

• Read, speak, and write English to interact with guests and staff.
• Capable of following instructions efficiently.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team and supervisors.
• Manage multiple activities in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including installation, maintenance, and repair.
• General maintenance skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components and safe practices.
• Operate hand and power tools; test equipment for air, water balancing and calibration.
• Organize work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure grounds are clean and free of clutter by picking up trash and debris.
• Maintain building by cleaning siding and walkways.
• Keep vacant rooms in good repair including walls, appliances, furniture, carpet, and cabinets.
• Conduct maintenance room punch, drywall repairs, paint, and carpet shampooing.
• Perform preventive maintenance on guest rooms on a schedule.
• Respond to service requests promptly.
• Handle on-call emergency responses.
• Maintain interior hallway carpets.
• Notify supervisor of safety or guest concerns.
• Reconcile daily paperwork with supervisor before end of shift.
• Perform tasks outlined in job descriptions and on-call agreements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Know location and operation of security and safety equipment.
