Job summary

Hirebridge in Pacific, WA is seeking an experienced Highway Construction Estimator to lead bid estimation for heavy civil projects. You will review bid documents, create take-offs, quantify materials, and price for precise proposals while coordinating with field and office teams.

This on-site role requires 5+ years with a GC in heavy construction, proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office, and strong communication to vendors and clients. Occasional site inspections are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with a significant General Contractor in heavy construction.
• Experience with estimating process on medium to large size projects.
• Experience with public works projects involving prevailing wage work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and project management software.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Review bid documents and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
• Generate bids and leads via electronic and printed sources.
• Perform take-offs to confirm quantities and material costs.
• Conduct site inspections for estimates when warranted.
• Organize pre-bid packages with plans, specs, and addenda.
• Review bid specifications/blueprints to prepare bid packages.
• Attend bid openings and pre-construction meetings when warranted.
• Maintain relations with vendors, clients, engineers, and owners.
• Communicate bid information to Senior Project Manager.
• Obtain pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors.
