Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking a Highway Construction Estimator to lead bid estimation for complex highway projects. You will review bid documents, create take-offs, quantify materials, and prepare accurate bid proposals for review by the Senior Project Manager.

The role is on-site at Goshen, CA, with travel to job sites ~10%. A minimum of 5 years in heavy construction estimating is required, along with strong budgeting and vendor negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years with a major General Contractor in heavy construction.
• Experience estimating medium to large projects.
• Familiar with public works and prevailing wage requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and PM software.

Responsibilities

• Review bid documents and specifications for new projects.
• Generate and develop bids and leads from electronic and printed sources.
• Perform accurate take-offs to confirm quantities.
• Visit sites for estimates and bid validation when warranted.
• Prepare pre-bid packages with plans and addendums.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, engineers, and owners.
• Communicate bid information to Senior Project Manager.
• Obtain pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors.
