Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a Help Desk / PC Technician at our Anderson, California facility. The role supports IT operations across the U.S., focusing on end-user support and device troubleshooting in a non-remote environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware and software issues, guiding users through steps, and maintaining security and network configurations. Competitive benefits and internal career growth are highlighted.

Qualifications

• 1 year of computer and/or network problem-solving experience in a business environment.
• CCNA and/or A+ certifications are a plus.
• Proven excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of remote support tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Working knowledge of Windows Desktop, Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory.
• Basic understanding of firewall rules, anti-virus software and other desktop security products.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP is preferable.
• Business network (VPN, Wi‑Fi, WANs & LANs), wireless and VOIP skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with mobile device setup and support.
• Ability to successfully work in both independent and team environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively support company IT operations throughout U.S. using strong PC and network knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technology issues by phone.
• Provide positive results and best user experience by guiding users through corrective steps.
• Coach and demonstrate best-practice problem-solving methods to users.
• Build, diagnose, and repair PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Monitor file, device sharing, and permissions; manage network issues to completion.
• Assist with network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting and software licensing.
