Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare is seeking a Senior Project Manager I to oversee multiple medium to large projects from concept to completion, acting as the single point of accountability. The role requires proactive risk management, stakeholder engagement and strong project controls using Parallon standards.

The position sits 100% on-site in the Gulf Coast Division Office in Houston, TX, with moderate to heavy travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in healthcare
• PMP and/or LEAN certification preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management/Administration, or related field (or 7–10 years relevant experience)

Responsibilities

• Organize project activities into manageable work efforts for team members and determine an effective approach
• Author/facilitate strategic documents and present updates to business owners
• Manage project scope and motivate team members to achieve objectives
• Coordinate relationships with business owners and team members across projects
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies
• Monitor progress and report statuses within timelines
• Coach team members on tasks, milestones and deliverables
• Produce high-quality deliverables per project plans
• Support creation of toolkits for field-based implementations
