Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Site Support Technician to provide Level 1 desktop hardware support, asset management, and software assistance across Mercy locations. This role includes field visits, device deployment, and end-user training as part of its duties.

The position emphasizes security compliance, incident handling, and collaboration with hardware lifecycle teams, with some travel and after-hours work likely required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent IT experience required.
• Dell Desktop Certification preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in CS/IS preferred; healthcare experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 desktop hardware support during field visits.
• Complete work orders and incidents for hardware issues.
• Diagnose errors and determine solutions for end users.
• Deploy and track desktop hardware and peripherals assets.
• Maintain asset inventory for Mercy hardware.
• Perform end-user training on hardware and software standards.
• Assist with hardware lifecycle management, RMAs, and decommissioning.
• Coordinate hand-offs to other teams and escalate as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on desktop hardware and peripherals.
• Ensure security policies are followed at every location.
• Provide 24x7 support for Priority 1 and 2 incidents when required.
• Hours may vary, including weekends and nights; travel up to 125 miles.
