Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking an experienced accounting/financial analyst to support decision-making processes on campus. The role requires strong Excel and Access skills and at least five years in accounting or financial analysis, preferably in healthcare.

You will develop dashboards, produce ad hoc reports, and provide detailed financial analyses to senior management while ensuring accurate accounting records and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least five years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with decision support functions.
• Prepare statistical data, reports, and analyses including monthly, quarterly, and annual surveys.
• Build and maintain ad hoc reports in accounting system.
• Evaluate business functions and extract and analyze critical data.
• Solve business problems and improve processes.
• Prepare custom financial reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Perform general accounting functions and record financial transactions.
• Prepare detailed analyses of accounts and processes to ensure accuracy.
• Attend and participate in meetings.
• Verbal communication with the public when answering inquiries.
