Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical terminology knowledge required or must satisfactorily complete course within first 6 months of employment.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of formal Health Unit Coordinator training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inpatient unit communications with physicians and nursing staff.
• Manage the unit desk area and patient care coordination systems.
• Assist with downtime procedures and technology use on the unit.
• Provide clerical support and maintain semi-complex records.
