Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead on-site health, safety, and facilities operations at a high-volume distribution facility in Aurora, Illinois. You will own the site’s safety management system, drive a safety-first culture, and ensure reliable, compliant building and equipment operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real influence on people, performance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in health & safety and/or facilities management within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and practical workplace safety implementation.
Hands‑on, solutions‑driven leader comfortable on the floor and engaging with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Own and lead the site’s health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal standards.
Drive a safety-first culture through audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, training, and safety committee leadership.
Manage all aspects of facilities operations, including building maintenance, utilities, fire systems, and critical equipment.
Oversee contractors, vendors, and service providers, ensuring safe work practices and strong service delivery.
Plan and manage preventative maintenance, minor projects, and annual safety and facilities budgets.
