Job summary

Glacier Support Services is seeking a Health Promotion Technician to support the Armed Forces Wellness Center at Ft. Jackson, SC. This on-site role contributes to primary prevention through six core programs and biometric screenings, assisting health educators and maintaining program quality.

You will coordinate events, schedule appointments, manage referrals, conduct basic health assessments, and support data entry and equipment maintenance in a dynamic, defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Allied Health from an accredited college or university.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to meet Public Trust requirements.
• Preferred: Degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology.
• American Red Cross BLS or CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community events and scheduling, referrals, and administrative tasks.
• Perform health and biometric screenings and educate clients on the AFWC mission.
• Manage center schedules and use military medical record systems.
• Coordinate on-site unit health promotion briefings and data entry for systems.
• Assist the AFWC Director with equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
