Job summary

Glacier Support Services is seeking a Health Promotion Technician to support the Armed Forces Wellness Center (AFWC) at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role focuses on primary prevention, health assessments, nutrition, stress management, and tobacco education to build readiness.

You will coordinate outreach, educate clients, conduct biometric screenings, and manage schedules and data entry within military medical records systems. A 4-year Allied Health degree and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in an Allied Health field from an accredited college or university.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community outreach events, schedule appointments, manage referrals, and provide administrative support.
• Educate clients on the AFWC mission and available services and support Health Educators with biometric screenings.
• Conduct basic health and biometric assessments and standardized health promotion briefings.
• Manage center schedules using Microsoft Office Suite and military medical record systems.
• Perform data entry for automated systems used by the medical facility.
• Assist the AFWC Director with equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
